We have a Story!

As the story progresses at Rude Toys, a “decent” plot had developed.  I say DECENT because I’ve made most of this up off the top of my head. Hehehehe.  Anyway, below is a rough synapsis of the story based upon the areas that you’ll see the photos of Rude toys come in.

THE VALLEY
This area is where the main characters Hardcase and Mike reside.  The two friends are clones who chose to “ignore” Emperor Palpatine’s Order 66 because they didn’t hear him correctly.  They thought he said “Order 69.” So while their other clones were off killing Jedi, these two were having drunken bar fights and one night stands with various women.  After the partying was over, Hardcase and Mike arrived in an area called The Valley; far from the Great War.  Here they try to live in peace with other citizens of the valley but the Great War looms closer each and every day.

THE MESA
This area of land is where refugees from the Great War are funneled.  Most of the land is destroyed in the battle so they have no choice but to flee.  Once they are there, they have the option to stay or head to the Valley for safety.  Due to the growing numbers of refugees, fights for space or even food break out constantly.

THE CORRIDOR
A small side piece of land that leads from the Valley back to the Mesa.  It’s the “backdoor” to the Mesa to avoiding the war.

THE RUN-OFF
The strange river flows off the Great War down through the Mesa to The Valley then onward to Utopia.  Hardcase and Mike often takes boats during means of travel and for some reason, none of the boats are big enough for them.

ROME
The home of the Roman Soldiers was destroyed because of The Great War.  Many of them are sparsely relocated in The Mesa and The Valley.

THE LONG ROAD
The stretch of land that runs off the Mesa to the Valley is called The Long Road.  Stretching for several miles, it is guarded on both sides by various castles and towers.  None of these structures are accessible from the ground but the Evil Empire seems to be able to get into them from the air.  Often they are left empty but Empire Soldiers will occasionally fill them up with hopes of an incursion into The Valley.  Many of its citizens go forth to their call of arms to defend the one home they have left.

THE BATTLE AT BASIN HILL
The chaotic small section of land is the main entrance from the Great War to the Mesa.  Most of the time the fighting is centered their because the Evil Empire is hoping to squash what little hope people have.  Soldiers, Robots, Mercenaries and Knights along with a very pissed off Unicorn keep the Evil Empire from advancing their claim on uncharted land.

THE GREAT WAR
The Evil Empire is run by a collation of villains.  Emperor Palpatine controls the Clone Army but the rest of the evil warriors are controlled by Sam Hane; the evil Pumpkin Head.  It’s his goal to destroy everything that is good and innocent in the regions.  However, nothing good can stay innocent for long.  Sam Hane will so learn he’ll have a fight to deal with.  I would say he’ll have a fight on his “hands” but he doesn’t actually have any.

El Hombre Con El Saco

As I've been action figure hunting for this blog, I stumbled upon this crazy figure.  My good friend Melissa told me about a "boogeyman" myth from the Dominican Republic. His name was El Hombre Con El Saco or the Man with the Sack.  Apparently, parents would scare their misbehaving kids into believing an old horrible man would come collect them in his sack if they didn't behave.  Once I saw this figure, that's exactly who that reminded me of.

Whether that's ACTUALLY him, I don't know.  I'm not that avid a collector.

For more on the El Hombe Con El Saco myth, check out this wikki page I found
